One of the nation’s top junior defensive linemen is high on the Wildcats.
On Sunday afternoon, class of 2023 four-star Sydir Mitchell included Kentucky among his top nine college choices. The ‘Cats join a loaded list of competition: Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Tennessee, Rutgers, Miami (FL), LSU, and Auburn. Mitchell hails from Bergen Catholic out of Oradell, NJ, and is considered the No. 302 prospect in the country, according to the On3 Consensus.
Mitchell initially received his offer from Kentucky back in Oct. 2021, which came from defensive coordinator Brad White and wide receivers coach Scott Woodward.
