The Indianapolis Colts' one-year marriage to Philip Rivers has gone better than probably anyone outside of the organization possibly hoped for when he signed with them this offseason.
At 38 years old (he recently turned 39) and coming off a tumultuous final season with the Chargers, there were hordes of doubters questioning how much Rivers had left in the tank entering his 17th NFL season.
They've all had to eat their words.
The Colts are tied atop the AFC South at 9-4 and on the verge of clinching a playoff berth in large part due to a passing offense that is chugging along with the cerebral Rivers at the helm.
