CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Player and Pitcher of the Week Monday afternoon (May 22). Of those named, DJ Newman earned MAC Pitcher of the Week honors. The award is the first weekly award for Newman as a Falcon and the third this season for BGSU. Nathan Rose earned Player of the Week on April 3 and Adam Fallon earned Player of the Week last week on May 15.
Newman was dominant on the mound in the series opener against Toledo Thursday (May 18), picking up the win in the 4-0 final.
